Injured WWE Superstar Makes In-Ring Return After Nine-Month Hiatus

A WWE star who’s been out of action for the past nine months has finally returned to the ring!

One of NXT’s fastest-rising stars Sol Ruca was sadly placed on the sidelines last April when she suffered a torn ACL. She was written off-screen due to an attack from a mystery hooded figure, who was later revealed to be the returning Blair Davenport, after last competing at an NXT live event on April 14th.

Prior to her injury, Ruca was receiving rave reviews backstage and was even considered to win the now-defunct WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship as part of a planned tag team with Dani Palmer. Unfortunately, however, her unexpected injury caused those plans to be scrapped. She has since been kept out of the spotlight since undergoing surgery in May.

Sol Ruca Has Finally Made Her WWE In-Ring Return

Now, after a hiatus of more than nine months, Sol Ruca has finally returned to the ring. During an NXT live event last night in Crystal River, Florida, Ruca made her in-ring return to team with Brinley Reece to take on Chase U’s Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne. Unfortunately, however, they did not emerge victorious.

Shortly after the match, Ruca took to her X account to celebrate her return writing, “Wooohooo it’s good to be back” alongside the hashtag for the live event.

Ruca isn’t the only WWE star to suffer a torn ACL recently. Just weeks after making her return to the black and gold brand, Cora Jade tore her ACL at a NXT live event during a match with NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria. Jade has since undergone surgery and is expected to be out of action for the next nine months.
