WWE Tag Team To Be Repackaged

WWE Raw SmackDown Tag Team Championship Belts

One WWE tag team could be getting a “makeover” in the near future.

According to Fightful Select, Maximum Male Models may be getting re-branded. The tandem of Mansoor and Mace haven’t been a heavy focus of WWE programming since they shashayed onto the SmackDown brand back in 2022 and the team has gone through several changes in management since then. The new report says that Vince McMahon was initially high on Maximum Male Models but didn’t want the team to come off as too flamboyant. However, that all changed when McMahon was temporarily ousted and Triple H took over as the current Chief Creative Officer has Mace and Mansoor take their act to the “maximum.” Now with McMahon back in the company fold, the two’s gimmick and presence has been scaled back.

Maximum Male Models’ Rocky History As A WWE Tag Team

Mace and Mansoor originally were under the watchful eye of Maxxine Dupri, but at the tale end of McMahon’s tenure as WWE CEO, he repackaged LA Knight as Dupri’s brother, Max. Whenever McMahon left, Maxxine was back in control and LA Knight resurfaced on his own once more as a singles star. As it stands now, Maxxine has aligned with Chad Gable and Otis as an upcoming protege with Alpha Academy while Mace and Mansoor haven’t been seen on either SmackDown or Raw. The duo did continue to create some buzz online with their ongoing “Making It Maximum” series which really embraced the comedic and flamboyant side of the act.
