WWE Crown Jewel To Return In November

WWE Crown Jewel To Return In November

WWE has revealed that their next event in Saudi Arabia, Crown Jewel, will take place on Saturday, November 4th in Riyadh.

As reported by PWInsider, while the specific venue for the event is yet to be confirmed, previous editions of Crown Jewel have been held at various stadiums in Riyadh, including King Saud University Stadium (formerly Mrsool Park), King Fahd International Stadium, and Mohammed Abdu Arena.

Last year’s Crown Jewel featured the highly anticipated match between Roman Reigns and Logan Paul, with Reigns successfully defending the Undisputed Universal Championship.

This upcoming event is part of a long-term agreement between WWE and Saudi Arabia’s General Sports Authority, which allows WWE to host major events in the kingdom.

However, the dynamics between WWE and Saudi officials have changed since the agreement began in 2018. WWE’s stock price took a hit following the news that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund purchased a minority stake in the Professional Fighters League (PFL), a potential competitor to UFC.

This move raised speculation about the Saudi PIF’s interest in WWE, as they were reportedly considering purchasing the company before WWE’s sales agreement with Endeavor in April.

As fans eagerly await more details about Crown Jewel, it is clear that WWE’s relationship with Saudi Arabia continues to evolve in the ever-changing world of professional wrestling.

When Was WWE Last In Saudi Arabia?

The last WWE event that took place in Saudia Arabia was Night of Champions on May 27th, 2023. The show was headlined by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn taking on The Bloodline, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, for the Undisputed Tag Team Championship.
