Wheeler Yuta Embraces Heel Turn Against Bryan Danielson On AEW Collision: “Warrior’s Death”

Bryan Danielson Talks Up Impact Of Wheeler Yuta On Blackpool Combat Club

Wheeler Yuta has opened up on his Bryan Danielson betrayal.

At WrestleDream, Jon Moxley defeated Bryan Danielson to win the AEW World Championship. The PPV also saw Danielson’s mentee Wheeler Yuta turn heel against him and choke Danielson out with a plastic bag.

Sharing his thoughts on the heel turn on the 26th October episode of Collision, Wheeler Yuta completely embraced his betrayal and claimed to give the former World Champion a “warrior’s death”.

I gave him a warrior’s death. We gave him a warrior’s death. We took him out because he does not have the stomach for this. The American Dragon you knew, was long dead by the time I got in that ring at WrestleDream. We had to get him out of the way, we had to do it for the greater good.”

With Danielson now out of the picture, Moxley and the Blackpool Combat Club have turned their attention toward the entire AEW locker room. With chaos spreading, the roster has looked upon Orange Cassidy for his leadership and help. Orange Cassidy has now announced his appearance for Fright Night Dynamite, as fans wonder about the next stage for this feud.

Wheeler Yuta Takes Shot Against Nigel McGuinness

AEW announcer Nigel McGuinness shared a long rivalry with Bryan Danielson, which culminated at Grand Slam 2024. However, during McGuinness’ recent interview with Yuta, the BCC member continued to take shots at McGuinness’ old feud with Danielson.

As the announcer displayed acts of sympathy toward his former rival, Wheeler declared:

What’s the matter Joker? You mad we killed the Batman?”

In a reference to Batman and Joker’s rivalry from the comic books, Yuta strengthened the quality of the feud those two once shared. Putting aside his differences with Danielson, McGuinness warmed up to his rival’s current state. Opening up on the segment, it was revealed that while Nigel McGuinness wanted to prove himself as a better wrestler than Bryan Danielson, the BCC had different plans.

Maintaining a cold appearance throughout the segment, Yuta has solidified his new character.
