Update On AEW Star's Possible Heel Turn On Dynamite

During last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the ongoing saga surrounding Max Caster’s potential heel turn took another significant step forward.

Over the past several weeks, Caster has been at the centre of speculation, with tensions brewing within The Acclaimed and subtle signs of a darker shift in his character. The storyline began weeks ago when MVP approached The Acclaimed, offering them a Hurt Syndicate business card as an invitation to join his faction. Anthony Bowens was quick to reject the idea, but Caster appeared intrigued, keeping the card and sparking internal conflict within the popular trio.

This tension has been building ever since, culminating in noticeable cracks at AEW Full Gear. During his trademark rap at the event, Caster swapped the group’s signature catchphrase “Everybody loves The Acclaimed” for the self-aggrandising line, “Everybody loves the Best Wrestler Alive,” further distancing himself from his teammate.

The drama escalated on tonight’s Dynamite when Caster interrupted Swerve Strickland during a backstage interview. Strickland, still reeling from his loss to Hurt Syndicate’s Bobby Lashley at Full Gear, was visibly frustrated by Caster’s antics. The exchange added fuel to the speculation that Caster could be aligning himself with MVP’s faction, potentially leaving Bowens behind.
