MJF Takes Aim At El Hijo Del Vikingo

MJF El Hijo Del Vikingo

AEW World Champion MJF has never shied away from expressing his discontent, and his recent reaction to his PWI 500 ranking is no exception.

In a recent interview with Mike Janela for the New York Mets’ YouTube Channel, MJF criticised PWI for his ranking this year, hitting out at one wrestler in particular who was ranked higher.

“They put me at six, behind a guy named El Hijo Del Vikingo. Can you name me two El Hijo Del Vikingo matches?”

“No. You can’t. I could go on and on.”

“Everybody knows who the best is. If you went on social media the day it got dropped, everybody was saying that either me or Cody Rhodes, an old running mate of mine, should have been one or two.”

“I believe that they put those three guys up there [Roman Reigns, Jon Moxley & Seth Rollins]. Those three guys are very talented. But nobody’s on the level of the devil. Everybody knows that.”

El Hijo Del Vikingo has competed in nine AEW matches in 2023 against the likes of Aussie Open, Dralistico and Komander.

His most famous AEW match, perhaps, is his highly-regarded bout against Kenny Omega on the 22nd of March edition of Dynamite.

Where Did MJF Rank In The PWI 500?
