One main roster star looks to be starting a trend down in NXT.

Several stars from WWE Raw and SmackDown has made their presence known for the developmental brand. However, a name who has been propelled right into the NXT Title picture is Baron Corbin.

The former Raw GM surprised fans with a return to the brand he began with on May 31 and it wasn’t long before he challenged Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship.

According to Dave Meltzer on “Wrestling Observer Radio,” Corbin is going to be with NXT for the forseeable future, but also made another note of interest.

“He’s a regular now in NXT and there’s going to be more people like that.”

Other Main Roster Stars Have Made Their Impact In NXT

Corbin’s persona was in purgatory on the main roster, but NXT has given the star new life in an old character, but just temporarily. Corbin lost to Hayes in his NXT Title shot and it caused the “Lone Wolf” to do some reflection. In a recent vignette, Corbin is seen burning old items of past gimmicks before stating, “It’s time for no gimmicks, no-nonsense, and no bulls***.”

Other names that hope to benefit from the change of scenery are Mustafa Ali and Dana Brooke, but other notable names have stepped foot the the Capitol Wrestling Center. Just like Corbin did with Hayes, Seth Rollins did with Bron Breakker as he put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line against the former NXT Champion. Now The Judgment Day are set to appear on the program as well.
