Lacey Evans Fires Back At Recent Criticism

Lacey Evans & Zelina Vega

Lacey Evans made her latest return to WWE television on the June 2nd episode of SmackDown, but the appearance didn’t come without a level of controversy.

Upon her return to the ring, Evans wore re-vamped ring gear reminiscent of an army drill sergeant, and WWE legend Sgt. Slaughter. This angered Sgt. Slaughter’s daughter, who said it was “not ok,” and asked “who the f*ck does she think she is?”

The outrage confused many, given that gimmicks have been refined, tweaked, and reused in wrestling for decades. To add to the storm in a teacup, Evans actually has a legitimate military background having served in the United States Marines before becoming a wrestler, whereas Sgt. Slaughter doesn’t.

In response to the comments, Evans went to social media to hit back, referencing her military background, and telling Slaughter’s daughter to come and find her.

“Your daddy’s biggest fan. A United States Marine. And a bad Mfer. You know who I am. And where to find me.”

Lacey Evans No Stranger To Controversy

Lacey Evans has courted controversy in recent months, catching the ire of social media with comments on mental health, ADD, and autism. The star also came under fire for sharing a post on social media that claimed depression and mental health issues could be “fixed” by following advice such as “make more money,” “mind your f*cking business” and “put purpose over pleasure.”
