Kevin Sullivan Urges AEW To Sign Ryback

Ryback Thumb

Ryback has always been complimentary about All Elite Wrestling, but will his praise ever convince an AEW crowd to chant “Feed Me More?”

Kevin Sullivan, “The Taskmaster” of WCW’s Dungeon of Doom, seems to think that Ryback at least deserves a chance.

Speaking on his podcast “Tuesday With The Taskmaster,” Sullivan urged AEW Founder Tony Khan to take a chance on “The Big Guy.”

“I think that if he came back, he’d have a better chance coming back to AEW — fresh start, fresh thought, no sins,”

“If he really apologized, from the heart, everybody deserves a second chance.”

There has been no public word from AEW’s side on the subject of them taking Ryback on board, but with such a stacked roster at this point in 2023, it would perhaps be unlikely.

Is Ryback Still Wrestling?

Ryback has been mostly absent from the wrestling world since 2018. After his release from WWE in 2016, he went on a two-year run of independent promotions such as Northeast Wrestling, Destiny World Wrestling and the Australasian Wrestling Federation.

Through his independent wrestling run, “The Big Guy” faced names as varied as Grado, Christopher Daniels, Moose, Colt Cabana and Brian Cage.

His latest match occurred nearly five years ago, on the 25th of August, 2018, where he defeated Dylan Bostic on a NEW show in Bristol, Connecticut.

Since then, Ryback has mainly made headlines for negative reasons. Last year, he faced a social media backlash after calling Vince McMahon‘s mother “a whore.”

Earlier this year, he threatened to sue all of social media, based on a claim that they were using “shadow banning technology” against him.
