Kevin Nash has voiced his opinion on the Blue World Order.
The ECW faction initially ran in the promotion from 1996 to 1998, then being revived following WWE’s relaunch of the brand in 2005. The faction’s main members were Stevie Richards, The Blue Meanie and Nova. The group was a parody of the successful WCW faction the New World Order, led by Hulk Hogan Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.
With the group designed to make fun of the original nWo members, and with both factions being in rival promotions, it seemed unlikely that the paths off each of the world orders would ever cross.
Stevie Richards, who parodied Kevin Nash while in the bWo, was once approached by Big Daddy Cool himself while attempting to get into his car, much to the terror of the ECW star.
Kevin Nash Enjoyed Blue World Order Parody
Speaking with Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Richards revealed that Nash once approached him regarding the parody group. The bWo member was very apologetic, while Nash gave his true thoughts on the idea:
“‘Well, well, well. Big Stevie Cool! We meet at last!’ And my back is against the rental car. And I’m like, ‘Hey man! I’m so sorry.’ And I go, ‘Paul wanted us to do it and I never meant disrespect.’ And he goes like, ‘Hmm.’ He’s like, ‘Alright. We’ll see about that.’ He lets me sweat it, he gets his car and calls me over, and he says, ‘Dude, I’m just messing with you. We all think it’s fantastic!’
Stevie Richards would go on to perform in WWE, leading the Attitude Era faction Right to Censor before embarking on a solo run. Richards would capture the European Championship once and the Hardcore Championship 21 times, the third highest number of reigns behind Crash Holly and Raven.
