“It’s The Worst” – Kevin Nash Blasts Recent WWE Angle For “Exposing” Talent

Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash believes WWE are doing no favors when it comes to their recent presentation of Cody Rhodes.

Rhodes has been at odds with Brock Lesnar since the events of the April 3rd episode of Raw. After losing to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 39, an enraged Cody Rhodes demanded another match with the Tribal Chief, but was told to find a partner to face Roman and fellow Bloodline member Solo Sikoa in tag team action. However, Paul Heyman declared that whoever teamed with Rhodes wouldn’t ever be able to challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Brock Lesnar appeared in support of Cody as he is already ineligible to face Reigns, and the two agreed to team together in the main event. However, before the match could begin, Lesnar launched a shocking attack on Rhodes, setting in motion a feud that’s still ongoing.

Rhodes was able to defeat Lesnar at Backlash, but an enraged Lesnar continued to attack Rhodes in the following weeks. The Beast Incarnate inflicted plenty of damage with his signature Kimura, and WWE confirmed that Cody’s arm was broken, though this injury was simply part of the storyline between the two.

Despite his storyline injury, Rhodes was cleared to compete against Lesnar once more at Night of Champions, and this time Lesnar emerged victorious after forcing Rhodes to pass out with his injured arm in the Kimura.

Kevin Nash Believes WWE Is Exposing Cody Rhodes With His Current Storyline

Speaking on the latest episode of Kliq This, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash took WWE to task for the recent angle between Lesnar and Rhodes, saying it exposes Rhodes as he is not on the same level as Lesnar when it comes to his amateur wrestling skill.

“They continue to expose Cody in these situations where, I’m sorry man, he was a good high school wrestler. It’s not f*cking, [he’s] not an NCAA Champion, and [he’s] not a UFC Champion.”

Continuing, Nash wondered how fans are supposed to believe that Rhodes was cleared to compete with a broken arm.

“Who the f*ck is medically clearing these guys? [For the angle] It’s the worst. [Nobody thinks about that] That’s what is wrong with it.”

On the May 29th episode of Raw, Rhodes once again issued a challenge to Lesnar, indicating that another match could be in their future.
