Cody Rhodes is giving fans an opportunity to own a piece of history.
As part of a charity auction with WWE, The American Nightmare has donated the robe he wore during his entrance at Night of Champions. The proceeds raised will go towards fighting paediatric cancer.
The match where the robe was worn saw Rhodes face Brock Lesnar in the second match of their trilogy.
The item description is as follows:
Don’t miss out on a unique opportunity to own a piece of WWE history. Signed by WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes, this robe was worn by The American Nightmare himself during his intense matchup against Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 27, 2023. Proceeds from this auction benefit Connor’s Cure and the V Foundation to support pediatric cancer research. This item includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
Bids are currently in excess of $8,000 and the auction closes on September 15th. Fans can bid for the robe here. With the auction nearing completion, bids are now in excess of $20,000.
Will Cody Rhodes Be At Payback?
The 2023 Royal Rumble winner has been announced to appear at the upcoming Premium Live Event but will not be having a match. Instead, Rhdoes will be a guest on The Grayson Waller Effect where The Aussie Icon will add Rhodes to his list of notable guests and hope to find out what the future plans are for The American Nightmare.
It remains unclear what is next for Rhodes in WWE as since SummerSlam he has been providing backup for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to even out the numbers when The Judgment Day launched a 3-on-2 attack on the champions. With John Cena returning to the company until the end of October, Rhodes may get his wish of one more match with the 16-time World Champion.
Reuniting with long-time friend Matt Cardona, the duo were joined by a celebrity guest while out to dinner.
