The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the May 18th edition of AEW Dynamite pulled in an average of 922,000 viewers. That included 430,000 viewers in the 18-49-year-old demographic, which equates to a rating of 0.33.
That is an increase on the previous week where the show drew 840,000 viewers with a 0.33 rating in the key 18-49-year-old demographic.
The May 18th episode of Dynamite opened with the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament match between Samoa Joe and a mystery opponent. That mystery man was quickly revealed to be the former John Morrison, going by the name, Johnny Elite. Despite a strong showing the debutant was eventually pinned following a Muscle Buster.
In the women’s tournament, the ‘Joker’ entrant was Maki Itoh who was also defeated by Britt Baker.
Elsewhere, Adam Page defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle O’Reilly advanced to the semi-finals of ‘The Owen’ with a win over Rey Fenix and Adam Cole booked his spot in the final with a win over Jeff Hardy.
