WWE Star Hilariously Tries To RKO Randy Orton “Outta Nowhere” [Video]

One WWE star tried to beat Randy Orton at his own game.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are no strangers to social media shenanigans, and on June 19th, Gargano posted a hilarious video that showed Tommaso Ciampa making a “stupid, stupid, stupid” decision.

In the video, Ciampa indicates that he’s annoyed by Orton, who is shown standing near the pair on his phone, seemingly oblivious to the conversation. Ciampa points out his “stupid music and his stupid muscles,” which Gargano insists are awesome.

Ciampa then declared that he would put an end to it by giving an RKO to Orton, but just as he tries, Orton steps out of the way. The pair then declares the decision was “stupid, stupid, stupid,” a tongue-in-cheek callback to Randy Orton’s famous 2009 rant against Kofi Kingston. The full video can be seen below.

Randy Orton Nearly Had To Retire Due To Injury

After dropping the Raw Tag Team Championships to The Usos in May of 2022, Randy Orton took a long hiatus from WWE as he was dealing with a severe back injury. While away from TV, the WWE star’s father Bob Orton spoke in an interview and revealed that doctors advised The Apex Predator to not return to the ring. Due to the severity of the injury, the update from Bob Orton and concerns over his quality of life moving forward, many were under the belief that the 14-time World Champion had competed in his final match.

Speaking with Sportskeeda after making his return to WWE at Survivor Series, Randy Orton opened up about the mental challenge of trying to accept that his career might be over, saying:

“I had top neurologists telling me that, ‘You know what, you had a great career, you have a life after wrestling, and you wanna be comfortable. You don’t wanna be in pain the rest of your life. We’re gonna fix your back, but you’re gonna have to stop wrestling’. “The first six months that I was out, I had that in the back of my head, and it was tough. It was mentally very challenging.”

One week later, Randy Orton has yet to be RKO’d as Ciampa failed a second time.
