WWE NXT star Nikkita Lyons has suffered another unfortunate setback.

In a short space of time since making her debut in early 2022, Nikkita Lyons has proven impressive. Her unique finisher that sees her do the splits on top of her opponent quickly went viral, launching her into the conversation of stars set to make waves in the years to come.

However, Lyons’ time in WWE NXT has been fraught with injury. In May of 2022, Lyons was seen as a favorite to win the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, but disaster struck in the form of a knee injury. While the injury wasn’t a severe one, it forced Lyons to be replaced in the tournament. Future NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton took her place.

The star returned to action the following June, but in February of 2023, Lyons was hit with a far more serious injury when she tore her ACL. She underwent surgery in February, and despite initial beliefs that she would be out of action for a full year, she returned to the ring in December of 2023.

However, a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lyons is once again injured. There is no word in the report as to the nature or severity of the injury, only that she is currently out of action.

When Did Nikkita Lyons Last Wrestle In WWE NXT?

Lyons’ most recent match took place on the January 9th episode of NXT. The bout saw her defeated by Blair Davenport in a one on one match.

Meanwhile, fellow rising star Sol Ruca also made a recent return from a knee injury, wrestling on an NXT live event on February 9th.

In March 2024, Nikkita Lyons provided an update.
