WWE Makes Several New Signings, Including 28-Year Veteran

WWE CCO Triple H at company HQ in Stamford, CT

WWE has once again made several significant additions to the roster. A top star was just signed thanks to a WWE veteran, while a current champion is also finally joining the company after decades in the ring. Details on the signings are just being revealed, including news on a somewhat familiar face to fans of the Attitude Era.

WWE and AAA have made history since announcing the big acquisition during WrestleMania 41 Weekend. Triplemania is AAA’s flagship show, and this weekend the two brands will present their first event under that banner. Triplemania XXXIII will take place on Saturday, August 16, at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. The supercard will air live at 9 pm ET via the WWE, WWE Español, and AAA YouTube channels.

World Wrestling Entertainment has signed Faby Apache to a new contract ahead of Triplemania. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter adds that Natalya was behind the signing of the second generation star, who is a four-time AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, a four-time AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion, and a one-time AAA World Trios Champion.

Apache and Natalya locked up at AAA Alianzas in late July, where The Queen of Harts and NXT’s Lola Vice defeated Apache and Lady Shani. The 44-year-old will look to become a five-time singles champion at Saturday’s Triplemania event as she and Natalya challenge Flammer for her AAA Reina de Reinas Championship in a Triple Threat.

Lady Flammer has reportedly signed with WWE as well, according to the report. The 25-year-old is almost 750 days into her current title reign after previously making her name in The Crash.

WWE has also signed La Parka. Not to be confused with the greats who have portrayed the gimmick in the past, including in WCW, the man behind the mask in AAA right now is Brazo de Oro Jr., who was introduced by Vampiro back in March as the third La Parka.

WWE Signs Current Champion And Others On AAA Triplemania XXXIII Card

World Wrestling Entertainment is believed to have all talents working Saturday’s Triplemania XXXIII card under contract. The Wrestling Observer notes that as WWE owns AAA, there’s a small chance they would put anyone on a PLE or any programming that can legally be signed by AEW right after.

AAA Latin American Champion El Mesias will defend against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. on Saturday. The 49-year-old, who began his career in 1996, was billed in the past as Judas Mesias, Mil Muertes, and Ricky Banderas. Mesias has had notable runs in TNA, Wrestling Society X, Lucha Underground, and MLW, among others.

WWE has also signed the following AAA talents to contracts: the 3-foot-3-inch 26-year-old Microman of AAA and MLW; 28-year-old generational talent La Hiedra, who currently holds the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship with Mr. Iguana; the 29-year-old winner of the 2025 Rey de Reyes Niño Hamburguesa.
