Major League Wrestling are bringing back an old favourite from the now defunct Lucha Underground promotion – Mil Muertes.
As seen on MLW’s weekly show Fusion, the devious head of Promociones Dorado, Selina de la Renta, has been searching for something (or more specifically someone) in Mexico, as a means to re-enter the company, having been ousted as a traitor during the MLW’s war with the Contra Unit faction.
It has now been revealed that Selina had been searching for the former Lucha Underground champion Mil Muertes, otherwise known as The Man of a Thousand Deaths.
MLW have since announced that Salina will be present for their Kings of Colosseum event, which airs on Wednesday, January 6th, where it is speculated that Muertes will make his company debut.
News of Muertes’ resurrection provoked an excited response from Lucha Underground co-creator Chris DeJoseph, who tweeted the following:

Lucha Underground ran for four seasons and was featured heavily on the El Rey Network, which now ceased broadcasting.
Mil Muertes, who has also competed under the names Judas Mesias and Ricky Banderez, has won multiple championships across Mexico and South America, including the AAA Mega Championship (now held by Kenny Omega) four times, the AAA World Tag Team championship alongside Pagano and the World Wrestling Council’s WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship.
