Following reports that AEW have warned WWE over contract tampering it has emerged that the sports entertainment giant have already contacted multiple AEW stars.
As Triple H assumed creative control of WWE, he immediately set about reshaping the roster and that meant bringing in new talent. Or as has been the case, former talent.
Within weeks of taking over the creative helm, Triple H has already re-signed the likes of Dakota Kai, Hit Row, Johnny Gargano, Karrion Kross and Scarlett. These moves have naturally led to speculation that the company may also be looking to sign stars from AEW, especially those who have been with WWE previously.
It was even reported recently that the company had been on contact with an unnamed AEW contracted talent.
Ahead of the August 24th edition of Dynamite, Tony Khan held a mandatory meeting for talent to discuss numerous recent changes within the promotion, mainly to the talent relations department. Interestingly, Khan also informed everyone present that Megha Parekh, AEW’s Chief Legal Officer and the promotion’s second in command had emailed WWE’s Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon, warning them “not to tamper” with talent.
This led many to wonder whose contract had seemingly been tampered with. However, speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer suggested that it was not just one name involved, and that WWE have contacted “multiple” AEW talents regarding a move.
These reports come after Chris Jericho recently hinted that some “higher-ups” want to see him back with WWE.
