Will Ospreay Reflects On Long-Term Impact Of His High-Risk Style: “I’ll Never Be 100% Again”

Will Ospreay Reflects On Long-Term Impact Of His High-Risk Style:

Will Ospreay has opened up about the long-term effects of his fast-paced in-ring style.

Although the AEW star is one of the most exciting and athletic performers on the roster today, it has not come without some sacrifices. With high dives and high-impact manoeuvres throughout every one of his matches, the former International Champion has never been one to take it easy. While the fans and the critics remain huge fans of The Aerial Assassin, the man himself has admitted that he is beginning to pay the price.

Appearing on The Masked Man Show, Ospreay praised the medical team for all that they do but added that he never sees himself being 100% ever again:

“The body’s sore but when is it never sore…Everything I do puts [a toll on my body],” Ospreay said, grateful that AEW has such a “phenomenal” medical staff who can help him feel show-ready despite the bumps and bruises. “For me, I feel fine but I’m never going to be 100%.”

In regards to possibly slowing down in the ring to potentially reduce the pain, Ospreay admitted that he doesn’t know how to go slower and added that the movement actually helps:

“I find ways of adapting to my environment and adapting to my situations. I don’t really know [if I have a slower gear]…in a weird way motion is the lotion to your body.”

Will Ospreay Loses International Championship

After winning back the International Championship from MJF at All In, Ospreay is no longer the champion once more following the events that took place at AEW WrestleDream. Due to a shocking betrayal, Will Ospreay saw his title reign end and Konosuke Takeshita walk out as the new champion.

Also in the interview, Will Ospreay spoke about his match against Ricochet.
