Vince McMahon Name Dropped During AEW Dynamite

Vince McMahon entrance

Vince McMahon is the latest WWE higher-up to be referenced by MJF on AEW television.

The AEW World Champion has name dropped multiple WWE executives in previous promo segments, but has been known to be more subtle, with Nick Khan being referred to as Jolly Old Saint Nick as an example. However, on the June 7th episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF was more blatant than ever with his calling out of names from the rival promotion.

MJF Agrees With Vince McMahon’s Rumoured Assessment On Adam Cole

During a war of words with Adam Cole, a variety of subjects came up, one of which being Cole’s motivation to leave NXT and become All Elite. MJF would then reference an online rumour about Cole that McMahon did not see championship potential in the former NXT Champion, then admitting that he was a big fan of the Chairman of the WWE Board:

I have beaten every single top guy these people thought were on my level, what thinks you think you’re gonna be any different bud? And before you answer that, I read a nasty little rumour online about you buddy. I read a rumour that the reason you made a jump to this company is becasue a certain individual at Titan Towers didn’t think you had top guy potential. And that individual’s name was Vince McMahon. Big fan by the way.

The Generational talent went on to say that he was in disbelief when he first read the report, but now agrees with McMahon’s reported thoughts on Cole:

When I first heard that I thought my God, the old man has finally lost his marbles. How do you not see top guy in Adam Cole? But I got to be honest bud, now I am standing eye to eye with you in my ring, you know what I think? I think Vince was right!

Later in the show, it was announced that Maxwell Jacob Freidman would be competing in a World Title Eliminator Match on June 14th.
