Janel Grant’s attorney Ann Callis addressed the “culture of corruption” in WWE before revealing that many others want to come forward with their stories.

On January 25th, Wall Street Journal reported that former WWE employee Janel Grant had filed a new lawsuit against Vince McMahon. The lawsuit contains horrifying allegations and graphic descriptions of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and sex trafficking at the hands of McMahon and former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis.

The suit is seeking to void a previous NDA and for financial damages, which the amount is unspecified. This is the latest in allegations about Vince McMahon that began back in 2022 when it was reported that the WWE Chairman paid $12 million in hush money to four women. The suit also alleges that those within WWE had full knowledge of McMahon’s behavior and did nothing to help Grant.

On January 26th, Vince McMahon resigned from all duties with TKO and WWE while continuing to deny the allegations against him. John Laurinaitis was released from WWE in 2022 amidst the investigation into alleged misconduct.

Speaking to NewsNation host Markie Martin on Morning in America, Janel Grant’s attorney Ann Callis explained that her client is seeking to eradicate a systemic culture of corruption within WWE by telling her story.

“It’s been a long process, and she (Grant) wants to speak out for any other victims and eradicate this culture of corruption that has permeated every cell of the WWE.”

Continuing, Callis revealed that many others have been in touch with her, wanting to tell their own stories about the culture of WWE. Callis says there may be more victims, and that her office is “overwhelmed” with the response since news of Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon broke.

“My office and my inbox have had a barrage of people wanting to come forward to attest about this culture of corruption and also possible victims. We are just beginning now to wade through all this, but we’re frankly overwhelmed.”

“(Grant) wants justice because she wants to change the culture that is going on in the WWE. She wants to help other victims. She thinks by speaking out and coming forward first, that others will feel emboldened and encouraged to come forth.”

During a recent episode of his podcast, Matt Hardy commented on the malicious WWE culture while he was with the company.
