John Laurinaitis “Quietly Let Go” By WWE

According to a new report, sources within WWE have confirmed that John Laurinaitis has left the company.

As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, John Laurinaitis is no longer with WWE. The report states that “several WWE sources” have reached out to confirm that ‘Johnny Ace’ has officially and quietly been let go.

The report continues on to say that the decision was taken within the “last week or so” and has been kept very quiet beyond a small circle within the company.

Johnson notes that although it cannot be confirmed exactly when Laurinaitis’ departure took place, every source that had been spoken to confirmed that he had left.

John Laurinaitis had been placed on “administrative leave” in June after allegations of sexual misconduct emerged surrounding himself and Vince McMahon.

The departure of ‘Johnny Ace’ came after it was alleged that Vince McMahon paid $3 million to a former employee with whom he had an affair.

Further reports noted that Laurinatis is being investigated by WWE’s Board of Directors in regard to a “$1.5 million nondisclosure agreement reached in 2012 with an employee.” Laurinaitis stepped down from his role as Head of Talent Relations at around the same time that the deal with the employee was reached. It is alleged that Laurinaitis demoted the woman after she ended their affair.

The investigation from WWE’s Board of Directors continues.
