A major title match that seemed to be building on Raw may not take place at the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel event, according to recent reports.
The Intercontinental Championship is reportedly not expected to be on the line at the WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event on November 2nd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dave Meltzer, writing in the latest edition of the “Wrestling Observer Newsletter,” shed light on the current plans, suggesting that the matches pushed on Raw may not make it to the Crown Jewel card. Meltzer reported:
On Raw, the two matches they were directly pushing were Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed and Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker. At press time, neither were listed for this show but we were told Rollins vs. Reed was possible for the show, the term used being no right now but they suspect that will change, and Uso vs. Breakker has a different date scheduled right now.
While the buildup for these matches has been prominent on WWE programming, it appears that the company’s plans for Crown Jewel remain fluid, with no confirmed matchups for these storylines as of yet. The possibility of Seth Rollins facing Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel remains open, with Meltzer noting that it could still be added closer to the event.
The term used being no right now but they suspect that will change.
Meltzer mentioned regarding Rollins vs. Reed. Meanwhile, Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso and Bron Breakker’s anticipated clash is expected to take place at a later date rather than at the Crown Jewel event.
