One current champion believes the AEW roster would embrace Shane McMahon becoming All Elite.
On July 31st, a photo emerged that showed Shane McMahon meeting with Tony Khan. The meeting came after rumors that McMahon had reached out to AEW stars about possibly joining the promotion, and McMahon later issued a statement about their meeting. Speculation about McMahon becoming All Elite were stirred further on September 26th when The Young Bucks shared a photo of themselves with Shane O’Mac at the airport.
After watching the six-part Netflix docuseries Mr. McMahon, Mercedes Mone gave her thoughts on McMahon in the latest edition of Mone Mag, first commenting on how his relationship with his father came across in the series.
“The portion where I think many of us were trying to figure out was Vince’s relationship with Shane. It seemed like a generational cycle, watching Vince’s relationship with his own father. I could see a young man in Shane who just wanted to make his Dad proud, as Vince seemed to be with his own father. To see Shane’s passion for that, as well as his passion for wrestling, moved me.”

Continuing, Mone made it clear that she believes Shane McMahon would be embraced by the AEW roster, pointing to Shane’s love for the wrestling business.
“Seeing Shane’s incredible heart and passion for wrestling makes me think he has a lot of unfinished business. It also makes me think is Shane coming to AEW? I’m here for it, and I’m sure our roster is too. Regardless, it just seems like Shane belongs in the wrestling business. I admit if he doesn’t come back to wrestling, it will make me sad for him. I know what it’s like to be removed from what you love and how sad it made me. I imagine he feels the same way.”
Also in the Mag, Mercedes Mone commented on the “crazy genius” that is Vince McMahon.
