Tony Khan Refuses To Comment On MJF

MJF on the mic

With Forbidden Door in the books, AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling are the talk of the wrestling world but one AEW star Tony Khan remains tight-lipped on is MJF.

At Forbidden Door in Chicago, Claudio Castagnoli – former WWE star Cesaro – made his debut for the company, defeating NJPW star Zack Sabre Jr. in a stellar encounter. Sabre Jr.’s countrymen PAC and Will Ospreay had better nights as Ospreay retained his IWGP US Title against Orange Cassidy while PAC became the inaugural All-Atlantic Champion.

In the main event, Jon Moxley kept the AEW World Title All Elite as he defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi to become Interim AEW Champion in CM Punk’s absence.

One star conspicuous by his absence from the whole affair was controversial want-away star MJF. MJF has not been seen or heard from in AEW since daring Tony Khan live on Dynamite to “fire me you f*cking mark.” Reports have suggested that AEW has requested that WarnerMedia remove MJF from all future advertising.

At the post-Forbidden Door media scrum, the AEW President maintained his ongoing silence regarding the three-time Dynamite Diamond winner:

“I am, especially after the great show we did, I’m not going to comment on it, but it’s a fair question to ask. I’m not going to cover that one right now.”
