Thunder Rosa is feeling better health-wise, but she’s taking it one day at a time.
AEW has a big week ahead of them as the promotion will make it’s return to Chicago for not just “AEW Dynamite” but the premiere of “AEW Collision” Saturday night. Rosa joined NBC Chicago to talk about how her recovery from injury has been. The former AEW Women’s World Champion likes her progress, but also tampered expectations for any fans expecting her to put the wrestling gear on.
“It’s going pretty well. Things are going as they’re supposed to go. I am super happy that I’ve been pain-free. That was the most important part. I think it took forever. I think everybody’s expecting me to give them news, but I am working out every day, trying to get back into the ring as soon as possible, and if it’s possible. That’s what I’m trying to do.”
Thunder Rosa’s Presence On AEW Programming Continues To Create Intrigue
Although she hasn’t wrestled since August of last year, Thunder Rosa remains a presence on AEW television, particularly if you’re Spanish-speaking. While recovering from her back injury, Rosa has been behind the booth for AEW shows as a member of the Spanish announce team. However, it was just a few weeks ago when she was shown backstage walking into Tony Khan’s office. Not long after, the announcement was made that “AEW Collision” was happening and during the TV upfronts for TNT, Rosa was a featured star on the official poster for the show. Rosa also continues to flex her other creative muscles as she released a new music video back in May.
H/t to Fightful.
