“They Owe Me Money” – Nick Aldis On His Hostile NWA Departure

Nick Aldis has spoken out about his NWA departure and he claims that the promotion still owes him money.

In a recent interview on K100 with Konnan and Disco, former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis addressed the rumours surrounding his future in professional wrestling and his NWA departure.

Aldis, who entered free agency in January 2023 after leaving NWA, made a surprise return to Impact Wrestling at the Rebellion pay-per-view. However, Nick Aldis’ time with Impact Wrestling came to an end following the post-Slammiversary tapings in July.

Speculation about Aldis potentially joining WWE began when PWInsider reported that the company was interested in him and discussed his possibility of working as a producer.

When asked about these rumours, Aldis neither confirmed nor denied them. Aldis said during the interview:

I cannot confirm or deny [the rumours he might be going back to WWE]

During the interview, Aldis also addressed his departure from NWA and expressed his dissatisfaction with the company. He claimed that NWA owes him money and he felt betrayed by Pat Kenney, NWA’s Director of Talent Relations.

I don’t want to air dirty laundry, but [Pat Kenney] showed his true colours with my exit from NWA. I don’t want to get into it too much, but they owe me money, and it’s probably never gonna come. I felt betrayed by Pat, and I’ll just leave it at that.

Will Nick Aldis Be Going To WWE?

Aldis has been rumoured since his Impact departure to be heading to WWE, however, no official deal has been confirmed. WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long recently spoke in an interview about Nick Aldis’ future and expressed his concerns that the star could be wasted in WWE if not utilised properly.
