Seth Rollins has a ton of respect for a former ally and rival.
Survivor Series 2012 marked one of the greatest debuts in company history. Hijacking the main event of the show, Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns would be integral in allowing CM Punk to retain the WWE Championship. The trio would go on to have a dominant run which included a clean sweep win over Evolution in 2014.
Although the group would implode when Rollins betrayed Ambrose and Reigns, the success would not stop as all 3 men would go on to win the World Championship in 2016. All 3 would evolve into their own unique personas with Ambrose departing for AEW in 2019 and being known as Jon Moxley, Rollins finding championship success as The Visionary and Reigns becoming the most dominant champion in the modern era as The Tribal Chief.
Rollins and Reigns would cross paths on a number of occasions and have somewhat rekindled their rivalry as each man has criticised the prestige of the other’s title reign in recent weeks. Despite their disagreements, Rollins still sings the praises of his former Shield brother.
Speaking on Not Just Football, Rollins admitted that The Tribal Chief is one of the best that has ever done it in professional wrestling:
“Roman Reigns is one of the greatest to ever do it. I’ll say nice things about him. He’s my brother, we came up together, he’s one of the greatest to ever do it. I don’t always agree with him, but he is one of the greatest to ever do it, no doubt,”
Seth Rollins Confirmed For Elimination Chamber
After suffering an injury in his title defence against Jinder Mahal on January 15th, Rollins was the latest Superstar to face uncertainty in regard to WrestleMania 40. Along with being confirmed to be a part of the biggest show of the year, WWE has also announced what Seth Rollins will be doing at WrestleMania.
Looking ahead to WrestleMania 40, Seth Rollins named his dream opponent.
