The Usos’ WWE Reunion Match Set; It’s Going To Be Huge

The Usos reunite on WWE RAW in March 2025

The WWE Universe has been home to many top tag teams over the years. The Anoa’i family has provided a few of these noteworthy duos, including The Usos. Jimmy and Jey Uso have found singles success in recent years since splitting up, but another big reunion is currently being planned for the WWE storylines.

Billed as The Uso Brothers, the real-life Bloodline members signed WWE developmental contracts in 2009, then debuted for the Florida Championship Wrestling territory the following January. Their second match and FCW TV debut came as a win over the future Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas, but just 66 days after debuting, the sons of Rikishi dethroned Brett DiBiase and Joe Hennig of the Florida Tag Team Championship.

Jimmy and Jey were dethroned 42 days later, but this opened the door to WWE’s main roster, where they solidified their spot as one of the greatest tag teams of all-time. The brothers had three reigns with the WWE Tag Team Championship, also known as the RAW Tag Team Championship. They also had five runs with the blue brand tag team titles, and received the WWE Slammy Award for Tag Team of the Year in 2014 and 2015.

The Usos shockingly split during The Bloodline’s storyline dominance in 2023, then faced off in their first-ever singles showdown at WrestleMania XL in April 2024, with Jey getting the win in just over 11 minutes. Big Jim and Main Event Jey reunited later that year to help Roman Reigns deal with the New Bloodline, then wrestled their traditional tag team bouts since July 2023 during the WWE Christmas tour of December 2024, losing to Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at three non-televised live events. The Usos then had their televised reunion during RAW on March 24 of this year, defeating A-Town Down Under.

WWE’s creative team has been working on another big reunion for The Usos, as revealed in a new report, and as rumored due to recent storyline developments. Officials have also used recent non-televised matches to help prepare the twins for their next tag team contest together. SmackDown on August 1 saw The Usos win a dark match over The Judgment Day, then the recent road to Clash in Paris tour of Europe saw Jimmy and Jey join Jacob Fatu in defeating Solo, JC Mateo, and Tonga Loa at three shows.

The Usos Set For WWE Wrestlepalooza

Solo Sikoa’s My Family Tree and The Vision have been connected in various ways lately, along with certain top heel and babyface superstars. One big incident saw Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu help Sami Zayn dethrone Solo of the WWE United States Championship on SmackDown in Lyon last week.

Monday’s RAW from Paris was headlined by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed defeating Jey Uso and LA Knight. After the match, The Vision’s young duo double-teamed Jey, then stopped Knight from making the save. The onslaught continued until Jimmy finally made the save to a big pop. RAW ended with Jey telling his brother that his help was needed on the red brand, and word now is that this was done to set up a big PLE match.

Main Event Jey and Big Jim are set to team up for the 1,331st time at WWE’s inaugural Wrestlepalooza PLE on Saturday, September 20. A new report from The Wrestling Observer notes that internal sources have confirmed plans for The Usos vs. Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.

Revenge is the idea behind The Usos’ tag team reunion at Wrestlepalooza. It was noted that the focus will be on seeking payback for the beatdown on Jey from this Monday and for the recent injury to Roman Reigns, which was done to write him out of the storylines for the filming of Street Fighter.

Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed have faced Jey Uso in various one-on-one and multi-man matches. However, neither man has faced Jimmy Uso in standard in-ring encounters.
