The Don Callis family just got a whole lot stronger on AEW Dynamite.
Since turning his back on Kenny Omega, Don Callis has been on a mission to destroy his former charge. In his fight against the former World Champion and The Elite, Callis has recruited the services of Konosuke Takeshita and Sammy Guevara and formed an alliance with Will Ospreay and Aussie Open.
After Takeshita, Osperay, and Guevara were victorious over Omega, Chris Jericho, and Kota Ibushi at WrestleDream, the chaos continued on Dynamite.
On the show, Omega and Jericho got some measure of revenge by getting the better of Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher of Aussie Open, but the night didn’t end on a happy note. After the match, Powerhouse Hobbs marched to the ring, took out Omega, and then helped Takeshita tape him to the ring ropes. He geared up as if he was going to nail Omega with a chair, but Callis himself took over, delivering the shot to the head.
Sammy Guevara missed the show after suffering a concussion at WrestleDream. In a new update on October 16th, Sammy Guevara is still awaiting clearance.
When Did Don Callis Turn On Kenny Omega
After years together, Don Callis turned his back on Kenny Omega back in May during a violent Cage Match involving Jon Moxley. Just as Omega was closing in on victory, Callis attacked the star with a screwdriver, enabling a slightly confused Moxley to grab the win.
With the match over, Callis waited for Omega to rise to his feet before stabbing him yet again.
