A member of the AEW roster wants Bryan Danielson to compete in at least one more match, their own retirement bout.
Danielson has not been seen on TV since WrestleDream, which saw the former World Champion drop the title to Jon Moxley in the main event. Viciously attacked by the Blackpool Combat Club after the match, it still remains unknown when or if The American Dragon will make his return.
On an episode of his My World podcast, Jeff Jarrett was asked who he would want as his final opponent if he were to compete in his final match today. Noting that he would want someone significantly younger to be in the match, Jarrett first named MJF as one possible choice if he were the babyface:
“It’s definitely got to be somebody younger than me. 20 years younger, so I’ve got to look at somebody in their 30s. Oh boy. MJF.
Continuing, the Hall of Famer named Danielson as his dream opponent if he were a heel, joking that he would make it physical before putting Danielson over:
“I’d like to drag Bryan Danielson’s ass out to the ring and just beat the sh*t out of him and then let him tap me out. [laughs] I’ll drag him out. That’d be fun.”
Danielson and Jarrett previously wrestled on the August 7th Dynamite, which saw The American Dragon victorious over the veteran.
The Secret Bryan Danielson Plan
Many were stunned at WrestleDream when Danielson lost the championship as they felt that there was much more to tell with the story and didn’t want to see his full-time career come to an end. However, according to a recent report, a “secret plan” set up for Bryan Danielson’s reign has been in the works for months.
In a further update, Bryan Danielson gave a worrying description of his ongoing health issues.
