Jon Moxley has received very high praise from a fellow AEW star who knows him very well.
Five years on from his shock WWE departure and the surprise debut that occurred at the first-ever Double or Nothing, Moxley has become a flagbearer of the promotion and one of the workhorses of the brand. Moxley’s dedication to the craft has also expanded beyond All Elite Wrestling as he has also found success in New Japan and currently reigns as the top champion in the promotion.
Having previously gone to war with the likes of Kenny Omega, Eddie Kingston and MJF, Moxley helped to put All Elite Wrestling on the map and establish it as a true alternative to other wrestling that was around at the time. Recognising his skill and accomplishments, Bryan Danielson gave his thoughts.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Danielson stated that Mox is one of the best wrestlers in the world:
“To me, he is among the very best in the world. I’m super proud of Mox. But it’s less pride I feel, and more admiration.”
Continuing, Danielson also noted that Moxley forged his own path and he is one of one:
“Mox did this, he created this. He has a mindset unlike anyone else. There will never be another Jon Moxley. There is no one like him. I admire what he’s been able to do. I admire the risks he’s taken and the performances he puts in every single time he goes out there.”
Jon Moxley Ensured This Top Star Became All Elite
Along with his accomplishments inside the ring, the IWGP Heavyweight Champion has also been responsible for wrestlers also joining him in All Elite Wrestling. Speaking in a previous interview, one AEW star admitted that they would not be in AEW if it were not for Jon Moxley.
