Suspended WWE Star Reacts To Cesaro’s AEW Debut

Cesaro - WWE

A currently suspended WWE Superstar is just one of many stars of the wrestling world who reacted to the shock AEW debut of Cesaro.

At AEW and NJPW’s supershow Forbidden Door, all eyes were on who would be Zack Sabre Jr.’s opponent following Bryan Danielson’s revelation that he was injured and would have to miss the show. The United Center in Chicago erupted when former WWE star Cesaro – now billed under his real name of Claudio Castagnoli – appeared as Sabre Jr.’s opponent.

Castagnoli was confirmed to also be the newest member of William Regal’s Blackpool Combat Club and will represent the group in Danielson’s absence in the upcoming Blood and Guts match against The Jericho Appreciation Society.

That match is sure to be fraught for the BCC and their teammates Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz. Jericho’s group won the advantage by virtue of The Wizard winning his six-man tag team match at Forbidden Door. There is also the issue of Kingston’s relationship with Castagnoli with the vitriol between them on full display at the end of the night in Chicago.

Other stars of the wrestling world – including currently suspended WWE Superstar Naomi – had a more positive outlook on Cesaro’s AEW debut, taking to social media to share their delight. Some reactions including those of Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Xavier Woods can be found below.

Despite the overwhelmingly positive reaction, Eddie Kingston couldn’t resist putting the boot in just one more time.
