Stephanie McMahon Has Special Praise For WWE Star Set To Complete 10 Years On The Main Roster

WWE veteran Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 41

WWE will present its second all-women’s pay-per-view in just a few hours. Stephanie McMahon had a hand in the original Divas Revolution and is set to be at Evolution tonight. The former WWE executive first took a moment to tout a special milestone and praise a top superstar before what could be a history-making victory.

The Divas Revolution had been brewing when Nikki Bella appeared on the July 13, 2015, RAW episode to brag about how there were no challengers left for her Divas Championship. Stephanie McMahon then officially declared a revolution in the Divas division before introducing NXT’s Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks from NXT. The inaugural all-women’s Evolution PPV was held 1,203 days later, and all three were featured prominently on their way to becoming household wrestling names.

The Queen will look to become a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion at Evolution tonight as she and Alexa Bliss from SmackDown challenge champions Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez in a Fatal 4 Way that also includes NXT’s Sol Ruca and Zaria, as well as RAW’s Kairi Sane and Asuka. Flair made pre-Evolution headlines this past week for penning an eye-opening letter to The Player’s Tribune under her real name of Ashley Fliehr, titled: How Am I Going to Be Charlotte Flair Today? She also tweeted about it.

McMahon took to X/Twitter today to mark the 10-year milestone by responding to Flair’s aforementioned tweet. The 48-year-old included a quote from Flair on her wrestling connections, then Stephanie admitted she’d already fallen in love and been inspired by the women of WWE.

#Evolution2 marks 10 years to the day of @MsCharlotteWWE main roster debut. Ashley’s personal Evolution is on full display in this remarkable piece. ‘I grew up in wrestling because of my dad … I got into wrestling because of my brother. But I fell in love with wrestling because of the Horsewomen.’ I wonder how many people will fall in love and be inspired tonight, watching these women leave their heart and souls in the ring? I already am,” Stephanie McMahon wrote.

There was an apparent shift going into Evolution weekend, and new information indicates we could see WWE crown new Women’s Tag Team Champions tonight. A title change in the Fatal 4 Way would kick-off the 31st reign since The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection were crowned inaugural champions in February 2019.

WWE Evolution Rumored To See New Women’s Tag Team Champions Crowned

WWE Evolution II will take place tonight at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The 7-match card will feature several title matches, a Battle Royal, along with other contests, and a recent revelation may have revealed full spoilers for tonight’s matches.

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair now have a better chance at dethroning The Judgment Day of the Women’s Tag Team Championship after Friday’s go-home SmackDown. Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez are still the favorites to retain tonight, but a late update has Flair and Bliss positioned as stronger contenders, with some viewing the superstar veteran duo as slight favorites to win. The Kabuki Warriors are still seen as long shots, as are Sol Ruca and Zaria.

Flair and Bliss are teaming up for the second time tonight. They became #1 contenders in their first outing together by defeating The Secret Hervice and the team of B-Fab and Michin in the taped SmackDown opener that aired July 4.
