Sonny Kiss, one of the first-ever stars to be signed to AEW, has seemingly been removed from the company’s roster page.
During the ticket announcement party for AEW Double Or Nothing back in February 2019, Sonny Kiss was announced as one of AEW’s first signings. They went on to compete at the promotion’s inaugural event where they competed in the Casino Battle Royale.
Despite forming a long-term team with Joey Janela and later joining The Trustbusters, Kiss never became a prominent star on AEW programming. The 29-year-old has competed in just 10 televised AEW matches and has only competed on TV once since October 2020.
Now, a recent change on the AEW website has suggested that the star’s time with the promotion could be coming to an end after four and a half years. Eagle-eyed fans on social media noticed that Kiss’ profile has been quietly removed from the site’s Roster page.
The change seems to have occurred sometime between late August and early September as The Concrete Rose’s profile can still be seen on a Wayback Machine archive of the Roster page from August 24th.
What Was Sonny Kiss’ Last AEW Match?
Sonny Kiss last competed in AEW on the April 18th edition of AEW Dark, which was taped on March 24th. On that show, Kiss and fellow Trustbusters member Jeeves Kay lost to Boulder and Bronson of Iron Savages.
Meanwhile, his last televised bout occurred on the August 10th 2022 episode of AEW Rampage. Kiss was also unsuccessful in that match, losing to Parker Boudreaux in just one minute.
In recent news, Tony Khan has confirmed that Sonny Kiss is no longer a part of AEW.
