Shelton Benjamin Elaborates On AEW Absence

Shelton Benjamin has provided more insight regarding his absence from a recent Dynamite taping.

On the April 2nd episode of Dynamite, Bobby Lashley and MVP appeared live for their segment before being interrupted by MJF to further the storyline regarding the former World Champion potentially joining The Hurt Syndicate.

Taking to social media to provide an update, the Tag Team Champion apologised to the fans for his absence:

To the @aew fans of Peoria [Illinois] i offer my sincere apologies. As a professional I pride myself on always showing up and showing out where advertised by Aew. Unfortunately despite Aew staff and my best efforts I was unable to make it to Peoria in time for tonight’s @aew Dynamite due to Major weather related flight delays. Please know I am just as disappointed as some of you may be and will take steps to avoid a repeat of this unfortunate situation in the future. Again my apologies and together we will hurt people next time

Accompanying the caption, the Tag Team Champion added in a video that he had 8 flight delays and that he started his day at 6 am but did not make it to the hotel until around 11 pm.
