Seth Rollins Names AEW Champion As One His Three “Favorite” Opponents

Seth Rollins Returns On Raw, Confirmed For World Heavyweight Title Match At WWE Money In The Bank

Seth Rollins has revealed the list of his three favorite opponents.

In his career of over a decade in WWE, Seth Rollins has been in the ring with arguably half the roster. With multiple feuds and rivalries to his name, it often becomes difficult to choose the best among them.

However, The Visionary has selected his top three favorite rivals. In an interview on The Pivot Podcast, Rollins named AEW World Champion Jon Moxley as one of his three favorite opponents alongside two other former World Champions.

Some of my favorite guys that I’ve ever been in (the ring) with, (Dean)Ambrose, is one of them. You know, you mentioned rivalries, when we broke up The Shield, he and I really got together and did a lot of great stuff in the early part of our careers. We just complimented each other kind of really well. I was sort of flashier, hard-hitting athletic, but he was more raw, visceral, and nasty. You know, more of a Roddy Piper and I was more of a Shawn Michaels.”

With a legendary comparison to his feud against Moxley, Rollins vividly described what the rivalry meant. After breaking apart the Shield in 2014, Rollins and Jon Moxley aka Dean Ambrose, spent months feuding against each other.

Although fans saw the two reunite years later before Moxley’s AEW jump, the feud remains one of Rollins’ most important rivalries. The Messiah’s last match against Moxley took place on 28th January 2019, before they reunited with Roman Reigns for a final Shield reunion.

Seth Rollins Further Names John Cena And Brock Lesnar As His Other Favorite Opponents

In the same podcast, Monday-Night Rollins shared two other names in his list of favorite opponents. The former champion hailed John Cena and Brock Lesnar as two of his favorite rivals before justifying his choice. He shared:

John Cena is a guy that I had really great experiences with. John and I did six to nine months of live events to the point where we were like, we knew each other so well. I would blink and I knew what he was talking. And he knew what I was talking about. We just knew each other. I learned so much working with John as a performer and as an entertainer.

You know, (Brock)Lesnar was always an interesting one too because he’s a beast of a man. He thinks of things in our industry in such a simple way, it’s like a beautiful simplicity, his psychology. I’m, you know, as the name dictates, an architect, so I have all these different things running on in my head at the same time so to, kind of like put those things together when you got the Synergy there was some certain magic.”

Over the years, Rollins has had several iconic matches against the above three names, helping him place Moxley, Lesnar, and Cena as his three favorite opponents.
