Seth Rollins had a successful outing against Finn Balor at Saturday’s Money in the Bank event from London. In the semi-main event, he defended his World Heavyweight Championship in a 12-minute bout, thanks to a distraction from Damien Priest. This distraction led to Rollins’ patented Stomp securing the victory.
Rollins vs Balor was on the cards for weeks due to regular interactions between the two on television. However, “The Messiah” had a very different run-in prior to Money in the Bank, which wrestling fans certainly did not see coming.
Seth Rollins’ Hilarious Reaction To Bovril
In an episode of SPORTBible’s “Snack Wars,” Seth Rollins pitted UK snacks against US snacks in a battle to determine which is better.
The first match-up pitted Starbucks Coffee (US) versus, of all things, Bovril (UK). Bovril is a staple of UK culture, as well as the hot drinks menu of most football games, and has been referred to as “beef tea” nationwide.
Seth Rollins‘ reaction to Bovril over his nation’s Starbucks Coffee was entirely unexpected. In a surprising twist, he was a massive fan of Bovril!
“That’s delicious [laughs]. That is nice. That tastes like a nice bone broth. That’s fantastic. That’s wonderful. Like, that is a nice soup, you know. That’s good.”
When referring back to Starbucks Coffee, Seth “Freakin'” Rollins had the following to say in favour of Bovril .
“I can’t in good conscience rate a garbage cup of this coffee over this delicious beef broth, so: nutritious and delicious. A point for the broth. I was expecting this to taste like sh*t.”
Also on the show, Seth Rollins was made to choose between a Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich and a sandwich featuring Gentlemen’s Relish. Unfortunately, the anchovy-based spread was too much for the World Heavyweight Champion’s pallet, which scored an equaliser for American snacks.
Outside of snack vs. snack competitions, Seth Rollins recently commented on his future in wrestling, stating that he “doesn’t know where his future lies.” Personally, this writer thinks his future lies with Bovril.
