Roman Reigns Snubs The Rock To Rank This As The “Greatest” Survivor Series Debut

Could Roman Reigns vs. The Rock Still Happen In WWE? The Tribal Chief Addresses The Dream Match

Roman Reigns has named his greatest WWE Survivor Series debut.

In a few hours, The OG Bloodline will take on Solo SIkoa’s Bloodline in a WarGames match at the Survivor Series PLE in Vancouver, Canada. The match will also feature the surprise addition of CM Punk.

While Reigns is set to battle for his tribe’s status, it was around twelve years ago that he made his debut at the namesake event. Pairing alongside Seth Rollins and Jon Moxley, the trio ambushed Ryback and John Cena and helped CM Punk retain his WWE Championship.

Speaking in an interview with Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated, Reigns placed his Shield debut over the debut of other big names such as The Rock, and The Undertaker.

I’m not a historian. My career has been so long and I’ve been involved in (so much). I debuted at Survivor Series. I don’t even know. I have to go with that. My debut. The Shield’s debut is the most special thing that ever happened at Survivor Series. There are a lot of really great debuts. It’s odd how many big time debuts happened at Survivor Series. Dwayne (Johnson aka The Rock) was one of them. Undertaker (debuted at Survivor Seires). Based off how it all shaped out, The Shield debuting was one of the greatest transitional situations of three young talent coming in, taking the company by the neck, and this is what you have today,”

According to The OTC, their impact and the position they are in today compelled him to place their debut as the greatest.

Paul Heyman Has Ranked Roman Reigns’ Bloodline Story Over Several Other Iconic Feuds

In an interview with Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports, ‘Wiseman’ Paul Heyman ranked Roman Reigns’ Bloodline story over other feuds involving Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and others.Paul Heyman claimed,

Because of the longevity that the storyline has had, I would have to rank it number one. The money-drawing years of the Horsemen weren’t this long. The money-drawing years of the NWO weren’t this long. The money-drawing years of (Steve) Austin vs. (Vince) McMahon weren’t this long. (Hulk) Hogan vs. (Randy) Savage. Hogan vs. (Roddy) Piper, which put WrestleMania 1 on the map.

Just in terms of overall storytelling and constant ebb and flow of affecting other people’s environment and how they tell their stories, I would suggest it’s the most significant, it’s the biggest money drawing, it had the most longevity, has held the most interest, and overall has done so by being the most intriguing and compelling because at every turn, you see the characters, not just turn towards what the story calls for, but the long-term effects of the development and evolution of these characters is never lost on us.

If something happens that changes Roman Reigns in 2022, we don’t disavow knowledge of it in 2024. It plays into what’s happening in 2024. Because of that, and because we keep it consistent, I would rank it number one. All false humility aside.”
