Report: AEW Stars Unhappy After MJF’s Wedding Photos Are Released Online

AEW stars MJF and Alicia Atout

MJF’s wedding photos getting posted online allegedly made AEW stars unhappy.

Last Friday in September, it was revealed that MJF and longtime girlfriend Alicia Atout, who is also an AEW personality, got married. The couple shared photos of each other and the ceremony, and a later photo was posted with several All Elite stars like Tony Khan and Maxwell’s rival, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page.

As it turns out, Maxwell Jacob Friedman and the rest of the All Elite stars reportedly weren’t the happiest when the photo circulated, and weren’t even aware that it had become public.

AEW Stars Reportedly Upset About MJF’s Wedding Photos Circulating For Ruining The “Illusion”

In a recent Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez reported that MJF was upset about his wedding photos circulating online, noting that fans possibly took them from his family’s social media, and nobody in the company posted them.

Dave Metlzer then shared that MJF and the rest of the AEW stars weren’t happy with what happened, adding that the likes of Hangman wouldn’t be pleased about it. He noted that Maxwell was a heel who enjoyed staying in character and worked hard to maintain that illusion, making his feuds appear as genuine as possible.

Here’s the thing on that, I know that they’re not particularly happy it happened. It’s not the end of the world. I mean, everyone knows and this and that. But it’s still, especially for people who have kind of the mentality that he would have and that I would presume Page would have, but I know he would have. You know, in the sense that he wouldn’t want that. You know what I mean?

He’s trying to be a heel from the 70s and 80s in 2025. And it’s not the easiest thing to do. And he works very hard at being that kind of a heel that people genuinely hate and trying to make. And there’s nothing wrong with trying to create the illusion that these feuds are real. I mean, we know they’re not, but you do want to create the illusion.”

Dave Meltzer added that MJF’s family must have posted the photos nonchalantly, not knowing Friedman’s character work or how professional wrestling works, or not informed that they were going to do it.
