Pete Dunne has revealed the moment he left Butch behind.
Pete Dunne made his main roster debut back in March 2022 as part of the Brawling Brutes faction led by Sheamus. However, to the surprise of many fans, the former United Kingdom Champion had been repackaged as ‘Butch’.
In recent weeks, though, Tyler Bate has been working on bringing back the Bruiserweight following the end of the Brawling Brutes and has been teaming with his former foe turned friend.
On the January 19th edition of SmackDown, Bate’s encouragement came to fruition when the two took on Pretty Deadly. This time, the name Pete Dunne appeared on the Titantron and a remix of his ‘Bruiserweight’ entrance theme echoed throughout the arena.
Dunne was also wearing his old entrance gear of a maroon singlet and fur-lined jacket, and made it clear that the Bruiserweight was fully back when he used his original signature pose by balling up his two fists under his chin.
Pete Dunne Shows Unaired Conversation With Tyler Bate
Following the show, Pete Dunne took to social media to share another conversation he had with Tyler Bate that didn’t make it onto TV. In the video, which you can see below, Bate tells Dunne that there are high expectations for the pair, and he needs to remember who he is, and it’s “so much more” than Butch.
Dunne agrees, and says Butch has to go, and he is once again the Bruiserweight.
