Multiple WWE SmackDown Stars To Undergo Presentation Change

It has been reported that the “New Bloodline” faction could undergo a significant change soon.

The aftermath of WrestleMania 40 has brought significant changes to WWE’s most dominant factions, with Solo Sikoa at the centre of the evolving storyline. After taking control of The Bloodline during Roman Reigns’ absence, Sikoa’s reign came to an end when he lost to Reigns at the Raw on Netflix premiere.

Following Reigns’ return at SummerSlam, WWE rebranded its two dominant groups. Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tanga Loa, and Tama Tonga were dubbed “The New Bloodline,” while Reigns, Sami Zayn, and The Usos reclaimed the moniker of “The OG Bloodline.” However, the rivalry between Reigns and Sikoa came to a head earlier this month when Sikoa definitively put Reigns over, concluding their storyline feud.

Now, WWE appears to be shifting away from The Bloodline name entirely for the heel faction led by Sikoa. According to a report on WrestleVotes Radio via SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, the company has decided to make a clean break.

“In a significant storyline update, we can confirm the plan as of now, for the grouping of Solo Sikoa, Tanga Loa, and Tama Tonga is to no longer be referred to as The Bloodline. It seems as though WWE is moving away from the heels using that name as Roman’s name is now back to being Tribal Chief.”

This change signals the company’s effort to distinguish Reigns’ faction as the undisputed Bloodline. It solidifies his status as Tribal Chief while allowing Sikoa and his allies to carve their own identities moving forward.

Which Former WWE Champion Wants A Match With Roman Reigns Before They Retire?

Current TNA star and former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy has spoken about his desire to face Roman Reigns in a match before he retires. Hardy said that Reigns is one of his dream opponents, but as both stars currently work for different promotions, if it were to happen soon, it would need to be part of a cross-promotional venture.
