More Details On Andrade’s WWE Exit; Star Remained Unreachable For Weeks

Andrade El Idolo Shows Off New Tattoo

Andrade is no longer with WWE.

Earlier today, a few hours ago, news broke out that former United States Champion Andrade has left the promotion. Visible on the promotion’s alumni section, the 35-year-old parted ways with the Stamford-based company just one year after his return.

Following his arrival from AEW at the 2024 Royal Rumble, Andrade found himself in several great feuds against Santos Escobar, LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, and, later, in a brief partnership with Rey Fenix. However, his team-up with Fenix felt short when the former champion went missing from the televised SmackDown episodes.

Soon, a report from BodySlam noted that the star remained unreachable for several weeks in the lead-up to this point. Major creative and booking differences were also reported since Andrade’s 2024 return. A report from Fightful Select further claimed that he was expected to team up with Fenix against The Wyatt Sicks at Clash in Paris, which unfortunately never happened.

Andrade Once Shared His Relationship With Triple H

A few years ago, in 2022, when employed with All Elite Wrestling, Andrade appeared in an interview on Más Lucha where he opened up about his thoughts on Triple H.

“He gave me an opportunity and helped me a lot in NXT and I spoke to him when I requested my release. We are on good terms, and he always mentioned that I can keep in contact with him.”

“I cannot say that I have contacted him recently, but it is difficult due to legalities. And if he wanted to speak to me, my wife (Charlotte Flair) works there, so he can always reach out to me from there too. There is lots of stuff happening, including people saying I want to go back to Triple H, but I don’t want to speak too much about that.”

In other news: Xavier Woods has undergone a successful surgery.
