MJF has taken great delight in letting England fans know that it is not coming home.
Football fever took over the country on July 14th when the national football team made it through to the finals of the Euros for the second consecutive tournament. While thousands of fans believed that this might be the night, an 86th-minute goal from Mikel Oyarzabal effectively put the game to rest before the final whistle blew to the delight of Spanish fans.
On the 250th episode of Dynamite on July 17th, Maxwell Jacob Friedman will challenge International Champion and English native Will Ospreay for the title. Posting multiple updates on social media while the game was in progress to take shots at his opponent and the fans, the former World Champion began by first mocking the sporting efforts of England in the past and promised the same result on Wednesday:
Time and time again, the British prove they can’t win when put under pressure. Whether it’s the Euro Cup. Or this Wednesday. Englishmen just aren’t equipped to be athletes.
Despite England equalising, the AEW star had the last laugh when all was said and done, literally:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
With AEW returning to the UK in August for All In, there is a strong chance that the former World Champion won’t let England fans forget this devastating night any time soon.
MJF Turns Heel With Vicious Attack
While AEW fans were all smiles at Double or Nothing when the former World Champion made his return, the positive feeling would not last long. Just as it seemed that Friedman had formed an alliance with Daniel Garcia, MJF brutally attacked Garcia on Dynamite and left the rising star a bloody mess.
