A major championship match was announced on the July 26th episode of WWE SmackDown ahead of SummerSlam.

The July 26th SmackDown episode hosted a tag-team gauntlet match which saw The Bloodline come out victorious. The team of Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga defeated The Street Profits to secure a tag-team title shot.

The August 2nd SmackDown episode will witness Fatu and Tonga battle DIY for their tag-team championships. This shall mark the first title match for both Fatu and Tonga in the Stamford-based promotion. Ciampa and Gargano will have a lot to look out for as they take on the vicious duo.

While the new Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa is scheduled to face Cody Rhodes in Cleveland for the Rhodes’ Championship, The Bloodline can boost their confidence with a win next week.

During an interview with WrestlingInc, Sami Zayn shared his experience of performing for the first time on the main-card of SummerSlam. Zayn shared:

I’ve had a really good WrestleMania track record, if you look back at all my WrestleMania’s, especially over the last three years. But if you go back my entire career, I’ve had a great WrestleMania track record. SummerSlam, I’ve never even been on the show.”

Sami Zayn will face Bron Breakker in Cleveland with hopes of leaving the arena with the Intercontinental Championship on his shoulder.
