Former WCW booker Kevin Sullivan has suggested that AEW should bring either Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua to Wembley Stadium for All In.
Sullivan believes there is still potential for AEW to generate even more momentum for All In. During a recent episode of Tuesday with The Taskmaster, Sullivan shared his thoughts on how AEW could attract additional attention to All In at Wembley Stadium.
The highly anticipated event is rapidly approaching, and ticket sales are reaching unprecedented heights. According to WrestleTix, the company has already sold over 80,000 tickets for the event, setting a new record.
Sullivan proposed the idea of bringing in renowned boxing stars to add star power to the event. He cited the success of WWE‘s use of Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia and highlighted the current boxing frenzy in England, with fighters like Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury capturing public interest. Sullivan’s suggestion was to sprinkle a touch of celebrity onto the wrestling extravaganza, as it has proven successful in the past.
[WWE] used Tyson Fury one time. It was in [Saudi Arabia], and they didn’t make a big thing out of it. Well, boxing is at a zenith right now in England. [Anthony] Joshua just knocked out a guy last weekend. Fury’s coming back to fight. I would bring one of those guys in and do something with them.
Although no celebrities or non-wrestling athletes have been confirmed for All In at this point, with less than two weeks remaining until the event, fans can expect more talent announcements in the coming days.
So far, five matches have been officially confirmed, including a highly anticipated AEW World Championship bout between MJF and Adam Cole. Prior to their clash, MJF and Cole will challenge Aussie Open for the ROH World Tag Team Championships on the Zero-Hour pre-show.
When Is AEW All In Happening?
All In will be taking place at Wembley Stadium on August 27th. According to reports from the X account WresltePurists, Ticketmaster has confirmed that the doors will open at 3:30 pm and All In will start at 5 pm.
