Kenny Omega will be back in singles action at AEW All Out.
In a match months in the making, Kenny Omega and Konosuke Takeshita will finally meet one-on-one in Chicago. The drama between the pair has been building ever since Don Callis turned his back on Omega to align with Takeshita. Since then, the pair have been on opposite sides of the ring in multi-man matches, but at All Out on September 3rd they’ll meet in an AEW ring in singles action for the first time.
The match was confirmed after All In, where Callis appeared at the post-show media scrum to tell Tony Khan he and his new charge were tired of waiting for the match to be made.
Earlier in the night, Takeshita, Jay White, and Juice Robinson defeated Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Hangman Adam Page, with Takeshita scoring the win.
Omega and Takeshita have met twice before in DDT Pro-Wrestling with Omega picking up the win on both occasions.
Despite interest from WWE, Kenny Omega will be staying with AEW for the foreseeable future after signing a new multi-year contract. The star is also seemingly set to face former UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson in a Street Fighter battle!
