Jim Ross Makes AEW Return Following Health Scare

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has made his AEW return following a short spell on the side-lines due to a recent health scare.

On June 16th Jim Ross would suffer multiple injuries following a fall in his home, Ross would take to the commentary booth for the AEW Collision the following day but after a sub par performance would apologise to the fans and reveal he was taking some time away to recover.

Ross had recently revealed that there was no timeline on his AEW return but he was personally aiming to make his way back to the company in time for their history making UK PPV AEW All In.

‘Good Old JR’ has stuck to his word by making his highly anticipated AEW return during the August 5th edition of AEW Collision.

Ross would return to the commentary booth prior to the shows main event clash between the “real AEW Champion” CM Punk and rising AEW Star Ricky Starks.

Ross would then provide play by play commentary alongside ROH legends Nigel McGuiness and Ian Riccaboni.

During the shows main event CM Punk would defeat ‘Absolute’ Ricky Starks causing the former FTW Champion to lose his cool and assault WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling legend Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat.

Earlier in the show, CM Punk was challenged by ROH World TV Champion Samoa Joe to a match at AEW All In on August 27th.

How Old Is Jim Ross?

Jim Ross is currently 71-years-old and will celebrate his 72nd birthday on January 3rd 2024.

He has been signed with AEW for over four years following the companies inception in late 2019.
