Jeff Jarrett Addresses The Future Of AEW House Rules

Jeff Jarrett

Jeff Jarrett has given an update on when or if AEW house shows will return.

All Elite Wrestling’s non-televised events predominantly ran on Friday and Saturday nights from February through to June. However, with AEW Collision now being broadcast on Saturday nights, the company would prefer the fans to stay at home and watch the action instead of travelling to an arena.

Director of Business Development Jeff Jarrett was asked about the future of house shows while being interviewed by Cultaholic. Jarrett admitted that a third televised show was not in discussions when he came on board, but other days of the week are being considered for future non-televised events:

“The brand continues to grow. Our non-televised live events, House Rules, I want that business to continue to grow. When I came on board, Collision wasn’t even thought of. That radically changed the strategy. Dynamite is on Wednesday and the weekends would be wide open for House Rules. Now, Collision is in the mix, which doubles our primetime coverage, so now we’re looking at Fridays and Sundays, and obviously Thursdays.

The brand growing overall, that’s from video games to House Rules to marketing initiatives, content, promotions. The most simplistic is for the brand to continue to grow because we live in a really big world, and the US and UK market is just two markets. It’s a massive audience out there.”

Being involved as an on-air talent and having an office role in both AEW and TNA, Jarrett has recently compared his old employer to his current one.

Jeff Jarrett Defends AEW

The Last Outlaw has been hitting back at critics of the promotion while doing media appearances to promote the upcoming All In pay-per-view, citing social media as one of the more unreliable sources.

Scheduled to face off against Jeff Hardy in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch, Jarrett has teased a cameo for the upcoming encounter.
