Expect an AEW wrestler to be back in the near future.
The tag team of The Butcher and The Blade have not had The Bunny by their side for a number of months, due to the manager being out with an injury.
Return Window For AEW Wrestler The Bunny Revealed By The Butcher
The Bunny last competed on the February 8th edition of AEW Dynamite, losing to then AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter in a Women’s Title Eliminator match.
Speaking on Josh Nason’s Punch-Out podcast, The Butcher explained in detail the extent of the injury to The Bunny, and has given a timeframe of recovery:
“[The Bunny] hurt her orbital. She broke her orbital. She’s doing really good. I’m sure she’s going to be back soon. That’s the thing is when something like that — I think she came from an injury, too. So she was injured for a bit, then had a couple of matches and got injured. That’s gotta crush your confidence. The good thing is, since she’s been gone, we’ve been kind of building this new little faction thing. So when she comes back, it’ll be awesome,”
The faction in question is the AEW tag team’s alliance with Kip Sabian. The recently faced the team of The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn on the May 13th episode of AEW Rampage.
The Butcher and The Blade previously aligned themselves with Eddie Kingston and The Lucha Bros in late 2019 through to early 2020. The alliance would end when Eddie Kingston attempted to save Jon Moxley from a planned explosion in the now infamous conclusion to the barbed wire deathmatch at the Revolution pay-per-view.
In one of The Hardy’s first matches in AEW, The Butcher and The Blade would collide in a tables match in April 2022:
